1.10pm to 2pm  Concert at Holy Cross Church, Uckfield.  By kind permission of the Rector and Church Wardens.  Retiring collection, your donations will be gratefully received.

Fri July 11th Framfield Church Concert 7.00pm The Greenhorns , at Framfield Church.  20 piece big band from Uckfield’s German twin town Quickborn, on their first visit to Britain. They will play an eclectic mix of music from jazz standards of the 40s and 50s to jazz rock and Latin. Tickets £6 (twinning association members £4)
Fri July 11th Civic Centre Opening Night
7.30pm The Six Five Rock n Roll Express presented by the Uckfield Theatre Guild at the Weald Hall, Uckfield Civic Centre.  This production has been written especially for the Theatre Guild by Alan McLellan.  Tickets £8.
Sat July 12th Luxford Field Big Day 9am to 5pm. Uckfield Big Day. There will be a variety of community and commercial stalls on Luxford Field together with entertainment throughout the day in the Arena with MC, Christine Skinner. With Dancers, Singers, Musicians, Bands, our Twin Town Quickborn Greenhorns Big Band, Punch & Judy.

Sat July 12th  Civic Centre Exhibition  11am to 4pm Doll’s House Exhibition in the Ashdown Room, Uckfield Civic Centre in aid of Macmillan Nurses.
Sat July 12th High Street Grand Parade 1.30pm Grand Parade from UCTC arriving at Luxford Field at approx. 2pm via the High Street.  The Festival Association, Spiritus and Batucada drumming bands, Uckfield Community Technology College and 13 local Primary Schools will parade this year.  Same Sky have developed the theme Sussex Landscape, including people of myth and legend, with their workshops in the schools to produce a visual splash.  We also have the Uckfield Community Ensemble in the Parade.

Sat July 12th  Civic Centre Concert   6.30pm A Swinging Serenade!   Outside Uckfield Civic Centre, an al fresco performance from The Quickborn Greenhorns, the exciting jazz big band from Uckfield’s German twin town. FREE.
Sat July 12th Civic Centre Concert 7 for 7.30pm start  The Lonnigans Skiffle Party at The Weald Hall, Uckfield Civic Centre.  Get set for a lively evening of great music with the UK’s leading exponents of skiffle.  There will be a tea chest bass and a washboard! Tue July 15th The Cinque Ports Concert  7.30pm for 8pm Americana Night  A double bill with Barber, Taylor & Reed and then Porchlight Smoker at The Cinque Ports, Uckfield.  Firstly an eclectic range of roots music sung in harmony and with instruments including acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle and dobro. Followed by a great blend of bluegrass and roots music. Thu July 17th Bridge cottage Walk 9.30am Walk – Lake and Woods for Work and Pleasure  (3.5 hours, 7.5 miles)  The striking impacts of ironworks at Furnacebank Wood and ornamenting at Lake Wood, with forestry at Park Wood with older tree cover at Fairhazel Wood. Dogs Welcome. Includes deep muddy puddles, stiles, steep slopes and steps. Starting at Bridge Cottage, adjacent to the river and railway station. Led by Brian Phillip, Uckfield & District Preservation Soc. Donations in aid of Bridge Cottage welcome.

Thu July 17th Civic Centre Festival Club 6pm to 7.30pm Festival Club at the Luxford Lounge, Uckfield Civic Centre. Lou Glandfield is a musician and songwriter specializing in slide guitar, blues piano and humorous verse. He writes and composes for theatre, busks and is a contributor to the Times Literary Supplement and has broadcast on Radio 4. Free - collection for performers.
Thu July 17th St Margaret's Buxted Concert 7.30pm St Margaret’s Church, Buxted, Uckfield Music Club 70th Anniversary Concert.  Dazzling Baroque quartet Red Priest has performed internationally and on TV. They play new programme 'Handel in the Wind', plus Vivaldi and Bach.   Tickets £12 on the door. Students £2, accompanied children free.
Thu July 17th Civic Centre Concert 8pm to 11pm– HOTSHOTS Dance Le Roc offers a Free Beginners Lesson at the Weald Hall, Uckfield Civic Centre. It's a mix of Salsa, Latin, Jive and Swing elements. Enjoy something different. Come on your own or with a partner. Dancing keeps you fit and you make new friends. We are very friendly and you will be made most welcome. So come and give Le Roc a try.

Limb 2 Limb theatre company presents Circles. He writes and composes for theatre, busks and is a contributor to the Times Literary Supplement and has broadcast on Radio 4. Free - collection for performers.
Thu July 17th St Margaret's Buxted Concert 7.30pm St Margaret’s Church, Buxted, Uckfield Music Club 70th Anniversary Concert.  Dazzling Baroque quartet Red Priest has performed internationally and on TV. They play new programme 'Handel in the Wind', plus Vivaldi and Bach.   Tickets £12 on the door. Students £2, accompanied children free.
Thu July 17th Civic Centre Concert 8pm to 11pm– HOTSHOTS Dance Le Roc offers a Free Beginners Lesson at the Weald Hall, Uckfield Civic Centre. It's a mix of Salsa, Latin, Jive and Swing elements. Sun July 20th Bridge Cottage Walk 4.30pm Walk – Buffers, Sleepers, Rockery and Greenery   (2hours, 3.5 miles) Starting at Bridge Cottage, adjacent to the river and railway station.   Close to the town centre, how nature has reclaimed the derelict railway and West Park, once a mansion’s grounds.  Dogs welcome. Includes mud, stiles, clutter, steep slopes and steps. No charge, donations to Bridge Cottage. Led by Brian Philips, Uckfield& District Preservation Society.
