Family Cycling or Walking Treasure Hunt 2022

A free event with 3 prizes to be won.

The 8.5 mile route is 80% on quiet country lanes / cycle paths around the north part of the town, and past fields and woods. When along any section of roads which are busier, there is always an optional footpath or pavement for children or less confident adults to use. Although there are two or three short hills, this route is fairly flat and relatively easy. And why not bring a picnic to have along the way?

To cycle: approx. 2–2.5 hours. To walk: approx. 4-4.5 hours.

The Treasure Hunt is open to any individuals, families or small groups, and the ‘treasure’ is by the way of a 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize. Although the 12 clues, which are for the most part relatively easy, and designed for children aged 10 and above to solve, adults may also find one or two clues challenging!

The Treasure Hunt can be undertaken at any time between Saturday 18th June and 12 noon Saturday 9th July with the winners being announced at the Classic Car Event on Sunday 10th July on Luxford Field. Prize winners will be notified directly if not present that day.
